Dr. Richard Schultz received his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, for research in the field of gas-phase ion-molecule chemistry. He continued at UC-Berkeley as a postdoctoral research fellow, doing research on the spectroscopy and kinetics of solution-phase reaction intermediates. Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Schultz was on the faculty of the Department of Chemistry at Bar-Ilan University, where he taught courses in inorganic and physical chemistry in addition to establishing an internationally-recognized research program. While at Bar-Ilan University, Dr. Schultz was the recipient of a Teva Pharmaceuticals Young Investigator Award, and was an invited speaker at the 2003 Gordon Research Conference on Inorganic Reaction Mechanisms. He is the author of over 30 peer-reviewed research publications.
Dr. Schultz has expertise in a variety of areas of chemistry and chemical technology, from inorganic chemistry to lasers to mass spectrometry, as well as in design and construction of scientific apparatus.
